Overview
Verified by Sophia Reed on July 13, 2026 at 02:45 UTC: I checked the official Lurking Giants Roblox page on a standard browser session and confirmed 15.4M+ visits, 107,111 favorites, 6,224 active players, and a 16-player server size. The page also carries the VERITY rework tag and notes that VR and controller support are coming soon.
Lurking Giants drops you into a single night that runs from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM. One player spawns as a towering giant that crawls out of a television set; everyone else gets a lantern and the dark. There is no combat for survivors. Your only defenses are sound awareness, cover choice, and the ability to move immediately after the giant sees you.
This wiki links every system you need to survive — codes, giants, maps, game passes, and the VERITY rework — so you do not have to bounce between sites to piece together how the game works.
What Is Lurking Giants?
Lurking Giants is built around two overlapping loops:
- Asymmetrical hide-and-seek — The giant hunts. Survivors hide. The giant is faster and can see through cover during pulses, but survivors win if anyone is still alive at sunrise.
- Analog-horror atmosphere — Static-filled TVs, distorted broadcast effects, and audio cues create tension before the giant ever appears. Playing with sound on is not optional if you want to survive.
Each round is a vote between two maps, a random giant assignment, and a five-minute real-time night where five visibility pulses decide who lives and who gets caught.
Core Game Systems
The Visibility Pulse
The pulse is the defining mechanic. At the top of every in-game hour from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM, every survivor is highlighted for the giant for a few seconds. Cover does not protect you during the pulse. The only counterplay is to be ready to move the moment it ends.
| Time | Event | Survivor Priority |
|---|---|---|
| 12:00 AM | Night begins, giant spawns | Find initial cover |
| 1:00 AM | First pulse | Relocate before the giant closes distance |
| 2:00 AM | Second pulse | Break away from clusters |
| 3:00 AM | Third pulse | Avoid chokepoints the giant is now camping |
| 4:00 AM | Fourth pulse | Stay spread out; groups die together |
| 5:00 AM | Final pulse | Survive this window and you reach sunrise |
| 6:00 AM | Sunrise | All living survivors win |
The safest players treat each pulse like a timed puzzle: know your next cover before the current one is revealed.
Sprint and Stamina
Press E to sprint. This is the most common beginner mistake in the game — many players press Shift by habit and get caught with no stamina. The giant does not have this limitation, so wasted sprint distance often means death.
Map Voting
During intermission, players walk through Alpha, Beta, or Charlie gates to vote for the next map. The map with the most votes wins. The 2x Voting Power game pass doubles your vote if you want more control over whether the next round plays on Forest or City.
Giants and Maps
Lurking Giants currently has two playable giants and two maps, with more on the way through the VERITY rework.
Playable Giants
| Giant | Unlock Cost | Role | Tier Summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Locust | Free | Starter giant | Balanced chase pressure, strongest on open Forest terrain |
| Guilt | 7,000 Coins | Premium giant | High vertical chase pressure, dominant on City map |
Read the full breakdown on the giants page, including why Guilt sits higher on most tier lists and what we know about the upcoming Verity and Doctor Nowhere giants.
Maps
| Map | Faction Tilt | Cover Type | Danger Zones |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forest | Giant-favored | Bushes, caves, tree clusters, campsites | Geyser fields with open sightlines |
| City | Survivor-favored | Rooftops, tunnels, billboard blind spots | Stair gaps where Guilt excels |
The maps page breaks down each arena, explains the gate voting system, and links map choice to giant matchup strategy.
Game Passes and Economy
Lurking Giants sells four game passes. The practical ones change how you play; the supporter ones are mainly about backing the developer.
| Pass | Price | Value Summary |
|---|---|---|
| Powerful Flashlight | On sale | Best gameplay advantage — see farther in the dark |
| 2x Voting Power | 150 Robux | Double map vote influence |
| 2x Giant Chance | 250 Robux | Higher probability of being selected as giant |
| VIP | Off sale during rework | Premium perks; benefits may change when VERITY launches |
Coin income is straightforward but slow:
- Survivors earn roughly 100-200 Coins per survived round.
- Giants earn 25 Coins per kill plus performance bonuses.
- Guilt costs 7,000 Coins, so expect 35-70 rounds of farming depending on your role and survival rate.
The VERITY rework is the biggest update since launch. Confirmed areas of change include:
- A new playable giant
- Survivor perks and classes
- Balancing pass on existing giants
- Advanced movement and traversal
- Better giant selection odds
- Reworked maps
- VR and controller support
No confirmed release date has been announced. Anything beyond this list is speculation until it appears on the official Roblox page or in the ULTRA works Discord.

Frequently Asked Questions
What key is sprint in Lurking Giants? Press E. Shift does not sprint, and pressing the wrong key is one of the most common ways new players die.
How long is one round? A round runs from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM in-game time, which takes about five minutes of real time.
Can survivors fight the giant? No. Survivors have no combat ability. You win by hiding, relocating after pulses, and reaching sunrise.

Survive as many rounds as possible. Survivors earn 100-200 Coins per survived round, and the SORRYFORDELAY code gives a free 200-Coin boost.
Is there a Trello board for Lurking Giants? No public Trello board has been confirmed. Track updates through the official Roblox page and the ULTRA works Discord.
