Goalbound Egos: All 11, Stats & Passives

Goalbound Egos are passive stat modifiers rolled separately from Styles, and the developer publishes an exact stat line and a secret passive for all eleven of them. Most Ego lists circulating online inflate the kick power values and miss one Ego entirely, so this page works from the official numbers.

Lore & Trivia

Overview

Goalbound Egos are the second roll in the game and the one most players underrate. A Style decides your moves; an Ego decides your numbers. Kick power, walk speed and stamina drain all come from the Ego, and every Ego also carries a secret passive that changes how you play rather than just how fast you are.

Eleven Egos are published across five tiers. The developer documents an exact stat line and passive for each one, which makes this the best-documented system in Goalbound — and also the one where third-party coverage is most reliably wrong, because a set of inflated kick power figures has been copied between Ego guides since mid-2025.

Ego Tiers and Roll Rates

Five tiers, and the normal-spin column reconciles to exactly 100%, which is how you know the published set is complete.

TierNormal SpinEgos in tier
Mythic1.5%Prodigy, Brother, Genius, Viper's Jaw
Legendary3.2%King, Dribbler, Streetstyle
Epic16%Iron Wall
Rare25%Speedster, Hero
Uncommon54%Egoist

Note that these are the same tier rates the Style roster uses. Egos and Styles are separate roll pools, but they are drawn on an identical odds ladder, which is a useful thing to know when you are deciding which pool to spend a Lucky Spin on.

One caveat on the published table: the developer's Ego list labels its Lucky Spin column inconsistently, using the Style wording on three tiers and the Ego wording on two. Because that column cannot be read unambiguously, this page reports the normal-spin rates only rather than guessing at the Lucky figures.

Every Goalbound Ego and Its Official Numbers

Eleven Egos, with the stat line and the passive exactly as published. Values above 100% are increases over the base; stamina drain is a burn rate, so lower is better.

A dash means the official card does not publish a value for that stat. Source: Official Goalbound developer board, "Egos (Traits)" list, checked October 7, 2026. Each card carries a stat line in the form "This grants the user with: 115% kick power, 110% walkspeed, & 50% stamina drain".

Three patterns fall out of that table. Egoist and Prodigy share the lowest stamina drain at 50%, which is the single best sustain number in the game. Egoist has the highest walk speed at 117% despite being the free Uncommon tier. And only two Egos reach 115% kick power — Prodigy and King — so if shot power is what you want, your realistic target is a Mythic.

Ego Passives Only Apply While Activated

This is the mechanic that changes how you evaluate every Ego, and it is easy to miss because the stat line and the passive sit on the same card.

Every one of the eleven official passives is prefaced with the same condition: once you have activated your ego. Genius only resets your feint cooldown if your Ego is active. King can only steal from teammates while active. Hero's crowd-scaling kick only scales while active.

Activation is on T, and the developer describes it as letting you "utilize their Ego, making them much more stronger/faster, depending on what type of Ego they choose". So T is not a Flow trigger and not an Awakening trigger — it is the Ego switch, and it is the difference between having a passive and having a stat line.

The stat line, by contrast, applies permanently. So an Ego is really two things: a stat adjustment that is always on, and a conditional effect you have to trigger mid-match on T.

That reframes the tier list. A Mythic Ego whose passive is situational can be worth less in practice than a Legendary whose passive fires constantly. Dribbler's cooldown reduction is always relevant to a dribbling playstyle; Prodigy's teammate hitbox only pays off if you pass, and only while activated.

Source: Official Goalbound developer board, "Egos (Traits)" list, checked October 7, 2026. All eleven cards word their passive as "Once you have activated your ego, ..." or "Once you have successfully activated your ego, ...".

Which Egos to Chase

If you carry the ball: Dribbler or Streetstyle. Both lower dribble cooldown, Streetstyle adds dribble distance on top, and recorded walkthroughs of the August 2025 build independently recommended exactly this pair for ground dribbling. Dribbler also carries 107% walk speed and 60% stamina drain, so it is not purely a cooldown pick.

If you shoot: King at 115% kick power with a tackle-steal passive, or Prodigy at 115% kick power with 110% walk speed and the joint-best stamina drain. King is the more disruptive pick because the passive lets you take the ball off your own teammates, which is as much a troll tool as a tactical one.

If you play Goalkeeper: Iron Wall, and note it is the only Ego in the game whose passive names a position. Iron Wall is Epic tier, so it is also the most realistic high-impact target for a player who is not chasing Mythics.

If you have nothing: Egoist is the floor, it is the free Uncommon, and it is not a weak pick — 117% walk speed and 50% stamina drain make it the fastest and best-sustaining Ego in the game. Its passive boosts volley shots. Plenty of players run it for a long time by choice.

What Other Ego Lists Get Wrong

Three specific, checkable errors are common in Goalbound Ego coverage, and all three are resolved by the official numbers.

The kick power figures are inflated. A guide from July 2025 lists Speedster at 120% kick power, Iron Wall at 120% and Hero at 120%. The official values are 107%, 107% and 105%. That same guide prints an identical stat line for Hero and Iron Wall, which is the tell: a single value was duplicated across rows rather than read from the game.

One Ego is missing from the community wiki entirely. Viper's Jaw is an official Mythic Ego with a larger tackle hitbox, and it does not appear on the community Ego list at all. A list missing a Mythic is structurally incomplete, not just behind on a patch.

One tier is wrong. The July 2025 guide places Prodigy in Epic. The official board places it in Mythic, alongside Brother, Genius and Viper's Jaw. Prodigy was most likely moved in a later balance pass, which is exactly why undated Ego tables are worth less than dated ones.

FAQ

How many Egos are in Goalbound?

Eleven, across five tiers: four Mythic, three Legendary, one Epic, two Rare and one Uncommon. Mythic holds Prodigy, Brother, Genius and Viper's Jaw.

What is the best Ego in Goalbound?

For ball carrying, Dribbler and Streetstyle, because both lower dribble cooldown and Streetstyle adds distance. For shot power, King or Prodigy at 115% kick power. For goalkeepers, Iron Wall. For players with no rolls yet, Egoist is genuinely strong rather than a consolation.

Do Ego passives work all the time?

No. Every official passive is conditioned on "once you have activated your ego", and you activate it by pressing T. The stat line is permanent; the special effect only applies while your Ego is switched on during a match.

What does stamina drain mean on an Ego?

It is the rate you burn stamina as a percentage, so lower is better. Egoist and Prodigy are tied at the lowest value of 50%, while Streetstyle and Brother are highest at 82%.

Is Viper's Jaw a real Goalbound Ego?

Yes — an official Mythic Ego that grants a larger tackle hitbox and 105% kick power. Several community Ego lists omit it, which makes those lists incomplete rather than merely out of date.

Should I roll Egos or Styles first?

Roll Egos first if your Style is playable. Ego stat lines are permanent and their passives change how your Style functions, whereas a Style upgrade mostly changes your move list. The two pools share the same tier rates, so the odds argument does not favour either one.

Change Log

  • 2026-10-07: Initial publication. Publishes all eleven Egos with official stat lines and secret passives, the five tier rates, the activation gate that conditions every passive, and a correction of the inflated kick power figures and the Prodigy tier error circulating in third-party Ego lists.
