Tier Rankings, Roles, and Damage Explained

SS	Absolute pinnacle — defines the current meta. These units anchor any late-game lineup.
S	Strong meta picks — excellent DPS or irreplaceable utility. Core components of top-tier squads.
A	Solid contributors — valuable situational picks or strong role-players in specific compositions.
B	Niche or situational — usable but rarely optimal in competitive late-game content.
C	Early-game filler — serviceable for beginners but quickly replaced.
D	Starter only — outclassed almost immediately. Not worth long-term investment.

SS Tier — Absolute Pinnacle

The SS tier holds the four highest-ceiling units in Anime Squadron. Each one can single-handedly carry a defense grid, though they fulfill distinct strategic roles.

Gogeta (SSJ4)

Rarity: Secret | Role: Primary DPS

Why SS: Gogeta is currently the strongest all-around damage dealer in the game and the centerpiece of most endgame teams. He scales extremely well through evolution stages, has excellent survivability, and remains useful in every mode from Story clears to Infinite Mode pushes. His fusion origin (Goku + Vegeta via the Primal Fusion quest and Primal Core) makes him a long-term investment that pays dividends across all content.

Team Role: Primary DPS anchor. Place at the first bend in the enemy path where he can maximize target coverage.

Woo (Shadow)

Rarity: Secret | Role: DPS / Summoner

Why SS: Woo delivers one of the highest damage outputs available thanks to his Shadow Soldier mechanic. His scaling allows him to dominate long fights and Infinite Mode, where sustained DPS matters more than burst. The summoned shadows act as additional damage sources without occupying squad slots.

Why S: A reliable damage dealer that performs well across most content. He lacks the overwhelming power of SS-tier units but remains a strong choice for players who have not yet obtained Secret-rarity carries.

Vegeta (SSJ Full Power)
