Lore & Trivia
Overview
Throw a Coin is a Roblox incremental simulator built around one satisfying loop: toss a coin into the central magic fountain, collect the random item that pops out, sell it for cash, and reinvest that cash into better coins and higher luck until you are chasing drops as rare as 1 in 20 quadrillion.
Released in May 2026 by The BEST group yet!, the experience has grown rapidly to over 28.9 million visits and regularly hosts 24,000+ concurrent players. The current limited-time World 3 event runs with a 3x boost window, making it one of the best moments for new players to push into late-game rarity bands.

Key Game Systems
Coin Tiers
There are 20 purchasable coin tiers, each raising your base luck multiplier. Moving from Basic Coin to Copper Coin (5x), Fortune Coin (12x), Fire Coin (24x), and beyond is the single biggest power spike available at any point. The full ladder ends at Infinity Coin, required for the highest rarity bands.
See the complete breakdown on the Coin Tier List.
Luck Stacking
Total luck comes from four multiplying sources:
- Equipped coin base luck
- Luck Multiplier upgrades at the green upgrades stand
- Item Index completion passive bonus
- Perfect Throw 2.00x bonus
Because these multiply rather than add, upgrading your coin first always beats buying dozens of Luck Multiplier levels with the same budget. Read the full math on the Luck Stacking Guide.
Item Index
Every unique item you pull is recorded in the Item Index. Filling entries grants permanent passive luck, making it the only stat that grows while you are simply playing. Mutated versions track separately, so mutation farming also feeds Index progress.
Mutation Machine
Added in Update 3, the Mutation Machine sits near the Worlds portal. Feed it 2-4 copies of the same item to produce a mutated variant:
- Big
- Huge
- Rainbow
- Astral
- Divine
Using four copies gives a meaningfully higher chance of a stronger mutation than using two. Mutated items sell for far more than their base versions.
Worlds
The Worlds portal lets you unlock new maps. Each world multiplies your total luck by 5x over the previous one:
- World 1: Starting area
- World 2: Unlocked around $10 trillion
- World 3: Limited event launched July 26, 2026 with a 3x boost
World progression should be treated as a medium-term goal after your coin and luck upgrades are competitive.
Upgrades Kiosk
The green upgrades stand offers two permanent stat lines:
- Luck Multiplier: Raises the rarity of fountain drops
- Item Value: Raises the sell price of every item
Early on, Luck Multiplier is the better buy. Once you are consistently hitting valuable rarity bands, alternate between Luck and Item Value for balanced growth.
Auto Throw & Sell All
Convenience upgrades let you automate the loop:
- Auto Throw: Keeps tossing coins automatically
- Sell All: Sells your inventory instantly
- x2 Sell All: Doubles the payout from Sell All
Auto Throw does not land Perfect Throws, so manual play is still better when pushing for a specific rare drop.
