Overview

Rintama High drops you into Hokuheki City, a fictional Japanese town in the Rikugawa Prefecture where Rintama High School sits — an institution once ruled by gangs and violence. The developer, o7 Delinquent Café, describes a school where order has been restored, but the hallways, courtyards, and surrounding streets remain a backdrop for student rivalries, alliances, and daily school life.

The experience is designed around two overlapping loops:

• Community-driven roleplay — Players create student characters with backstories, personalities, and motivations, then interact through dialogue, group scenes, and evolving storylines. The game draws inspiration from Japanese delinquent media such as Crows Zero and Tokyo Revengers.
• Skill-based close combat — A dedicated combat system with rush combos, finishing blows, guarding, evading, and lock-on targeting. Combat is integrated into roleplay scenes rather than treated as a separate game mode.

Key Features

Character Creation

Players build their student identity using Roblox Marketplace IDs for clothes, hair, and accessories. Certain visual traits — hair colour and height — use a Reroll Token system. Rerolls are earned through active codes and allow you to randomise these locked attributes until you land on a look you want.

Combat System

Rintama combat uses a stance-based control scheme:

Players enter a combat state with G, lock onto an opponent with Space, and use M1 for pressure strings into M2 finishers. Guarding (F) and evading (E) form the defensive half, making fights a back-and-forth of timing and positioning.

Training Grounds

The RINTAMA Training Grounds is a separate publicly accessible experience (184.8K+ visits) where players practise movement, test combos, and learn defensive timing before entering the main roleplay server.
