Re:Aura pet summon interface showing companion rarity tiers

Pets follow your character and provide passive bonuses. Five rarity tiers exist, from common Uncommon pets to ultra-rare Secret companions.

Lore & Trivia

Overview

Pets are collectible companions in Re:Aura that follow your character and provide passive stat bonuses. They do not attack or interact directly with other players, but their behind-the-scenes buffs can meaningfully improve your climb speed, sanity control, push power, or income generation.

The pet system uses a gacha summon model: you spend Shards to summon a random pet from a five-tier rarity pool. Higher-rarity pets offer stronger bonuses and more distinctive visual designs. Because Shards are scarce, understanding the odds and setting realistic summon targets is essential.

Pet Rarity Tiers & Summon Odds

RarityProbabilityTierNotes
UNCOMMON25%CommonBaseline pets. Minor stat bumps.
RARE15%LowSlightly better bonuses. Good early targets.
EPIC7.4%MediumNoticeable stat improvements. Mid-game staples.
LEGENDARY5%HighStrong bonuses. Difficult but achievable.
SECRET0.1%UltraBest-in-class bonuses. Extreme luck or heavy investment required.

Cumulative Probability

TargetOdds Per Summon
Rare or better27.5%
Epic or better12.5%
Legendary or better5.1%
Secret0.1%

On average, it takes approximately 1,000 summons to expect a Secret pet — far beyond what free-to-play players can realistically achieve without months of code collection.

Known Pets

Daniel Pet

The Daniel Pet is a confirmed pet obtainable through codes — specifically the DANIEL and NATSUKIDANIEL codes. Because it is code-gated rather than summon-gated, every player should prioritize redeeming these codes before spending Shards on summons.

How to obtain:

  • Redeem the code DANIEL for the pet directly.
  • Redeem the code NATSUKIDANIEL for 50 Shards + the Daniel Pet.

Summon Pool Pets

The full list of summonable pets is documented on the Re:Aura Trello board under the PETS list. As of May 2026, the Trello confirms five rarity buckets but does not list individual pet names in the public board view. Pet designs draw visual inspiration from the Re:Zero anime, with appearances and naming that reference characters and iconography from the series.

Summon Strategy

Early Game (First Session)

  1. Redeem DANIEL and NATSUKIDANIEL for the free Daniel Pet.
  2. Spend one summon (if you have Shards after codes) to see what rarity tier you hit.
  3. If you hit Rare or better, stop. If you hit Uncommon, evaluate whether you have Shards to spare for one more attempt.
  4. Hard cap: Never spend more than 20–30% of your starting Shards on summons in your first session. Sin rerolls and future code Shards are more valuable.

Mid Game (Aura Purchased, Stats Upgraded)

  1. Save Shards from new codes and milestone rewards.
  2. Summon in small batches (3–5 at a time) during events or when you have a comfortable Shard surplus.
  3. Target Epic or Legendary. Secret is not realistic without whale spending.

Late Game (Endgame Build)

  1. Only summon when you have 50+ Shards banked.
  2. Treat Secret pets as a lottery win, not a goal.
  3. Focus on collecting one strong Legendary and one Epic to cover different build needs.

Pet Spending Priority vs. Sin Rerolls

This is the classic early-game dilemma: spend Shards on pets or reroll your sin?

ScenarioRecommendation
Have Daniel Pet + Common SinReroll sin first, then summon.
Have No Pet + Common SinSummon once, then reroll sin.
Have Good Sin + Daniel PetSave Shards. Do not summon.
Have Good Sin + No PetSummon once or twice, then save.

The Daniel Pet from codes eliminates the "no pet" problem for most players, making sin rerolls the higher-priority Shard spend in the early game.

FAQ

How do I get pets in Re:Aura?

Pets are obtained by summoning with Shards or redeeming specific codes. The DANIEL code gives a free pet with no Shard cost.

What is the rarest pet?

Secret rarity pets, with a 0.1% summon rate. They are extremely difficult to obtain.

Do pets do anything besides follow me?

Yes. Pets provide passive stat bonuses that improve your climbing performance. The exact bonuses scale with pet rarity.

Can I equip multiple pets?

Only one pet can be equipped at a time in the current build. If multiple pet slots exist, they are likely unlocked through mid-to-late game progression.

Should I spend Shards on pets or sin rerolls?

If you have the Daniel Pet from codes, prioritize sin rerolls until you escape the common tier. If you have no pet at all, one or two summons come first.
