Noob Incremental Prestige & Layers Guide (June 2026)

Overview

Prestige and Layer resets are the backbone of long-term progression in Noob Incremental. Each reset trades your current progress for permanent multipliers and unlocks new mechanics, currencies, and upgrade branches.

This guide explains when to reset, what each Layer introduces, and how to rebuild efficiently after a Prestige.

Layer Progression Overview

Noob Incremental uses a multi-Layer system where each tier introduces new mechanics and scaling opportunities.

Note: Exact numeric thresholds for Layer 2–4 unlocks are not publicly documented and may vary with updates. Use in-game milestones as your primary reference.

When to Prestige

The most common mistake new players make is resetting too early. Use these rules to time your Prestige optimally:

Prestige When:

• The next meaningful upgrade would take longer to afford than the reset bonus would save you.
• You have maximized current-Layer income and further upgrades plateau.
• You have active Potions to push through the final milestone faster.
• A balance patch has raised thresholds and your current setup is now over-leveled for the old gate.

Do Not Prestige When:

• You can still buy meaningful upgrades within a few minutes.
• You have not yet unlocked automation or key multiplier branches.
• You are about to go offline for an extended period (wait and collect idle income first).

The "Time Test"

If your next upgrade costs more Oof than you earn in the time it would take to rebuild to your current power level after a reset, it is time to Prestige.

What Happens During Prestige

What Resets:

• Base Noob count and production
• Most Oof-based upgrades
• Current Oof balance

What Persists:

• Runes and their levels
• Permanent buffs (such as Rune Luck from codes)
• Layer Currency earned from the reset
• Cosmetic unlocks and group perks

What You Gain:

• Layer Currency for new upgrade branches
• Permanent multipliers applied to future runs
• Access to deeper Layers with new mechanics

Post-Prestige Rebuild Priority

After a reset, follow this order to rebuild efficiently:

1. Layer Currency Upgrades — spend Layer Currency on gating upgrades first.
2. Noob Production — re-establish baseline Oof generation.
3. Oof Multipliers — stack compounding bonuses early.
4. Automation — re-enable offline gains.
5. Rune Synergy — prepare for next rolling session.
6. Layer Gates — save for when current upgrades plateau again.

Layer-Specific Strategies

Layer 1: Base

Focus entirely on maximizing Oof income. Buy the cheapest upgrades first, prioritize multipliers over flat bonuses, and push toward the Rune unlock milestone.

Layer 2: Runes

Once Runes unlock, shift some focus to Ticket accumulation. Roll during Luck windows, keep Oof multiplier Runes, and level your best-in-slot before rolling replacements.

Layer 3: First Prestige

This is your first major decision point. Do not rush the reset. Maximize current-Layer income first, then use the Layer Currency to unlock deeper multiplier branches.

Layer 4+: Advanced Scaling

Additional Layers introduce new currencies and higher-tier Rune possibilities. Plan resets around currency gates rather than arbitrary timers, and check for patch notes that may shift Layer thresholds.

Potions and Prestige Timing

Using Potion rewards from codes right before a reset push can clear the final milestone faster:

1. Activate Oof Boost Potion when you are within reach of the Prestige threshold.
2. Push through the final upgrades with the boosted income.
3. Prestige immediately after unlocking the milestone.
4. The Potion duration carries into your rebuild if timed well.
