Chop A Forest Halloween thumbnail: two white blocky hands in first person pressing an orange cobwebbed chainsaw into a thick trunk carved with a glowing jack-o-lantern face, with wood chips flying, pumpkin stumps, floating ghosts and an orange moon behind

Chop A Forest turns one forest into a Coin ladder: punch trees, sell the logs, buy tools, clear a zone to 100% so the next fence opens, and repeat until the contract pays out. This wiki keeps the prices, the fence rules and the official badge numbers in one place.

Chop A Forest at a Glance

One plain log sells for one Coin; badge records attached to this game show that of 14,399,871 players who have joined since September 21, 2026, only 1,074,782 ever bought a Chainsaw. Almost everything below explains that gap: Coins are cheap for ten minutes, then bend sharply where a run stops being about punching trees and starts being about routing, hauling and Gems. This Chop A Forest wiki keeps prices, fence rules and official milestone numbers together so the bend is visible before you hit it.

Source: Chop A Forest on Roblox, experience listing updated October 25, 2026. Official text: "Break Trees to Collect logs / Sell the logs to earn Coins / Use the coins to buy tools / Upgrade your tools / Get the BEST Classes and Tools" and "SOLO & FRIEND RUNS SAVE!".

The Log Chain: Chop, Haul, Chipper, Cash

Every run is the same four beats, and the only thing that changes is how many logs move per beat.

  1. Chop. Trees show a name and a health bar while you are close enough to hit them. The trunk is the money: cutting at the base drops a full load of logs, while cutting high up the same tree drops noticeably fewer.
  2. Pick up. Logs pop free when the tree falls. You can grab them one at a time or hold the pickup input to sweep several, and the Hands upgrade tree raises how many you pick up per grab.
  3. Sell. Carry them to the chipper and the logs convert to Coins on a conveyor. The sell pad advertises one Coin per plain log, so income scales with logs per trip rather than with how hard a tree is hit.
  4. Spend and repeat. Coins go into tools, backpack tiers, trucks and upgrades. Clearing a zone to 100% opens the next fence, and the run ends when the last zone's contract is cashed out.

Two load-bearing details from recorded October 2026 walkthroughs: trees take a beat to fall after the last hit, so the fast pattern is to cut a cluster and let the logs land together instead of waiting on each tree; and trees can be dropped toward a spot by cutting from the opposite side, which turns a scattered zone into a pile you can sweep in one pass.

Where Most Runs Stall: The Badge Funnel

Roblox badge records carry a running award count, which makes them the closest thing this game has to an official completion survey. Read them as a funnel rather than a checklist: the drop between buying the Axe and buying the Chainsaw is where most players leave.

The useful reading is the middle band. Roughly seven in ten players buy the 150-Coin Axe, but fewer than one in thirteen ever reaches the Chainsaw, and the 100-tree mark sits between them at 26.8%. A player who has fallen 100 trees and still feels stuck is not missing skill — they are sitting exactly where the Coin ladder stops paying for punches and starts paying for haul capacity.

Zone Fences Open at 100%, Never for Coins

Zones are gated by a clear counter, not by money. Fell every tree inside a zone, watch the counter reach 100%, and the fence to the next grove opens on its own. Coins cannot buy a fence open, which is why a run that "has money but no new trees" is usually a routing failure: a few trees were left standing behind the spawn, or a stump you cannot reach is holding the counter short of the mark.

The first three zones are the ones every player sees: Oak Wood (starter grove), Birch Grove (its own chipper deeper in), and Pinewood, where the Chainsaw Shack sells the Chainsaw for Coins. Later groves escalate tree health, and the desert chapter adds a distinct close-out condition — the official badge text is "Clear every cactus in the desert and hit the detonator", so that chapter ends on a switch rather than on a final trunk.

Three Budgets That Never Compete

Chop A Forest runs three separate currencies and they do not substitute for each other. Mixing them up is the most common way a run gets slow: Coins cannot buy a class, and Gems cannot buy a backpack.

CoinsSelling logs at the chipperTools, backpack tiers, coin trucks, upgradesFists → Axe 150 → Backpack 175 → Rusty Runabout 500 → Log Vacuum 1,000 → Dynamite 2,500 → Chainsaw 7,500

RobuxPurchaseForever passes, single-run tools, cosmeticsAxe Forever at the low end through class unlocks at the top

The backpack line matters more than its price suggests. The first tier holds 10 logs and costs 175 Coins, and hands carry a few more on top; the next pedestal step raises the bag to 25. Coin trucks are the other half of the same idea — the 500-Coin Rusty Runabout carries 50 logs and is run-only, while Gem and Robux vehicles stay permanent. That is the real fork in the ladder: pay Coins every run for capacity, or save Gems once for capacity you keep.

Coin Buys, Gem Classes and Robux Perks

The official game pass list is the clearest map of what the game expects you to automate, because every pass description names a chore it removes:

  • Hauling automation. Big Beaver Forever follows you and eats every log you chop, paying full price straight into your Coins; Lumberjack Bot Forever chops trees, picks up the wood and sells it at the chipper.
  • Tool permanence. Axe, Chainsaw, Vacuum and Dynamite each have a "Forever" pass that puts that tool in every run — the plain purchases are per-run, which is why the same tools appear twice in the store.
  • Multipliers. Double Coins, Double Logs, Infinite Backpack, and 2X Gems which explicitly covers "mutated trees and daily rewards".
  • Class unlocks. Handsaw (chainsaw arms), War God (a frost axe you can throw through up to five trees), and Clawman (the Wolverine claws).
  • Boss-fight weapons. Minigun, AK-47 and Glock-18 passes exist "in every boss fight", which confirms the game's later chapters include combat encounters rather than only trees.

Source: Chop A Forest on Roblox, game pass catalogue read October 26, 2026. Official pass text: "The Big Beaver in every game: he follows you round and eats every log you chop, paying full price straight into your coins."

Classes themselves come from an RNG stall that restocks on a short timer — recorded footage and community trackers agree on a five-minute refresh — and class cards are bought with Gems rather than Coins. A class that is not in stock cannot be bought at any price, so Gems saved for a specific card are only useful if you are willing to sit at the stall.

Mutations and the Real Value of a Tree

Mutated trees are the Gem economy and the Coin multiplier at once. The variants seen in October 2026 footage are Golden, Candy, Frost and Rainbow, and the community-reported multipliers run 3x for Golden, 4x for Candy and 5x for Frost, with Rainbow arriving from the Rainbowmaker tool. Treat those multipliers as reported rather than published: the game does not print them anywhere, so the safe read is that rarer mutations pay more per log and drop Gems on the fell.

The practical rule is worth more than the table. Gems drop automatically when a mutated tree falls, so a mutation is never worth walking past — it is the only Gem source that scales with playtime instead of with a timer. Because 2X Gems is described as covering mutated trees and daily rewards, the pass is effectively a multiplier on both of the game's free Gem sources at once.

Halloween Window: Spins, Gems and the Code

The current build is the Halloween build: pumpkins replace stumps, ghosts hang over the groves, and the shop carries a spin-based event track. One code was live at the October 26 check and it pays Halloween Spins rather than Coins or Gems, with the prizes — gems, extra spins, Candy Corn, the Haunted Egg, the Hell Truck, the Nightmare Steed vehicle and the Hellrider class — sitting in a shop beside the Classes stall. Everything in that prize list except Gems is time-limited, so spins held past the end of the window lose their value.

The durable free Gem sources are separate from codes and do not expire with the event: a daily reward on a six-hour cadence, plus a one-time group reward for liking, favouriting and joining the creator's group. The full breakdown, including the exact redeem path and the current string, lives on the Chop A Forest codes page.

Chop A Forest Wiki FAQ

How long does it take to clear one forest?

Longer than the tools suggest at first. Three official marks frame it: under three hours (Speedrunner), under two hours (Speed Demon) and under ninety minutes (Timber Tornado). Only 3.6% of all players have earned the three-hour mark and 0.44% the ninety-minute one, so a first clear landing near or above three hours is normal. The route that closes that gap is broken down in the clear time route guide.

Is it better to max the Axe or save for the Chainsaw?

Save. Tool upgrades are bound to the tool, so Coins poured into Axe sharpness stop mattering the moment you hold a Chainsaw, and the Chainsaw sits at 7,500 Coins at the Pinewood shack. A handful of Axe tiers to keep early trees cheap to fell is enough; the rest of the budget should be heading toward the tool that replaces it.

Why do my Axe or Chainsaw upgrade rows show question marks?

Upgrade rows stay locked until you own the matching tool. Buy the tool in its shop first and the rows resolve into named upgrades with prices.

Do I lose my truck or my tools when a run ends?

Coin trucks and plain tool purchases belong to the run; the walk-speed upgrades and anything bought with Gems or Robux stays. That is why the store sells the same tool twice — once as a per-run purchase and once as a Forever pass.

What should a brand-new player do in the first two minutes?

Claim the daily reward, buy the click-and-hold hand upgrade so punching stops being tap-spam, then bank 150 Coins for the Axe and 175 for the first backpack before touching anything else. The full ordering, including which upgrades to skip entirely, is on the clear time route guide.
