Evolution is where Anime Final Strike units gain their signature passives and higher stat ceilings, and materials are the real gate. This guide maps all 55 evolution chains with their exact item, kill, and level requirements, and groups materials by farming route — Crafting, Legend Stage drops, Raid Shops, the Rift, Boss Rush, and events — so you can plan the grind instead of stumbling into it.

Overview

Every strong Anime Final Strike account is built on evolved units: evolution unlocks signature passives (like Berserker (Vengeance) gaining enemy-type-specific effects) and raises the stat ceiling far beyond the base form. The roster currently holds 55 evolution chains, and the bottleneck is almost never the base unit — it is the material. Some items are deterministic purchases from a raid shop or the Crafting station, others are 1% Legend Stage drop rates with pity timers, and most chains also demand thousands of kills and a minimum unit level before the evolve button activates.

This page maps every chain to its exact requirements and groups materials by farming route, so you can queue up the right grind before you even pull the base unit. Unit stats referenced below are on the full unit roster.

Verified by Amelia Foster on August 16, 2026 at 02:55 UTC: I reconciled the requirement data on each unit's official index entry with the item source listings to confirm the 55 chains below, including drop rates, pity counts, and shop prices for every key material.

Material Farming Routes: Crafting, Drop Rates, and Shops

Evolution items come from six routes. Knowing the route tells you whether a chain is a weekend project or a month-long grind.

RouteHow It WorksExample Items
CraftingDeterministic — craft at the crafting station once you have the materialsCard Deck (Yuneko), Psychic Core (Tornado), Kusanagi (Sasoke Hebi), Vesh's Cross (Vesh), Flame Bow (Arrow)
Legend StagesFarm specific acts; drops have listed rates and pity countersHollow Mask (Huco Mondo LS3, 1%, 50-run pity), Prison Realm Cube (Shibuya Crossing LS2, 2%, 40 pity), Excalibur Hilt (Asakusa Flame LS2, 1%, 35 pity)
Raid ShopsBuy with raid currencies that drop from any act of that raidDragon Slayer (Eclipse Shop, 700 Behelit Tokens), Afterlife's Halo (Planet Koi Shop), Yoru (Emies Lobby Shop)
RiftPurchase or low-chance drops from the Rift using Pirate CoinsCannon Ball (Gorp), Light Rapier (Kaziru, 5% drop), Bead Necklace (Acu, 3% drop)
Boss RushSpend Boss Rush Tokens from Boss Rush clearsTransfigured Soul (Maheto, 500 tokens), Cursed Finger (Sukuna questline, 200 tokens)
Events & QuestlinesLimited-time event shops or NPC questlinesMatoi Flag (Benomaru, via Tabernacle Keys), Chrono Sphere (Jolis, 450 Clovers in Elf Invasion), Cyborg Core (Baldy questline)

Route trade-offs: Crafting is deterministic but competes with other crafting sinks. Legend Stages are time-gated by drop luck, so always check the pity count before committing. Raid Shop items are the most predictable if you can clear the raid acts. Event items are the riskiest — when the event ends, the chain can become temporarily uncompletable, as happened with Tobito's Mask.

All Evolution Chains: Items, Kills, and Level Gates

Requirements include the key item, extra food/material stacks, kill counts, and unit levels. Food items (Pirate Meat, Bento, Ramen, Green Bean, Koi Dumpling, and similar) drop from story acts and the Gold Shop.

Which Evolution Should You Do First

Ranked by cost-to-impact for a progressing account:

  1. Yuneko → Yuneko (Jackpot) — one crafted Card Deck, no kills, and wave income doubles from ¥5,000 to ¥10,000. Every later upgrade in the game gets cheaper in practice.
  2. Cyborg → Cyborg (Advanced) — the Cyborg Core comes from a short NPC interaction with Baldy, no farming at all.
  3. Gorp → Gorp (The Fist) — a single Cannon Ball from the Rift shop.
  4. Tornado → Tornado (Esper) — crafted Psychic Core, only 1,500 kills and Level 25.
  5. Hero Slayer → Hero Slayer (Monster) — Bandages are a 3% Z City drop, and the evolved form reaches roughly 1,662 DPS at max upgrade for a ¥60,000 total investment — strong value compared with Secret alternatives costing ¥95,000 or more.

Save the marathon chains — Vasto Lorde (Level 100, 10,000 kills, 1%-drop Hollow Mask) and Benomaru (Crimson Commander) (Level 100, 15,000 kills, 11 Adorra Bursts) — for when your account can already farm Legend Stages comfortably.

Notes

  • Item names differ slightly between some unit pages and the item index (for example, "Afterlife's Halo" vs "Afterlife's Holo", and "Sage Master's Scroll" vs "Master Sage Scroll"). The tables above use the item index naming.
  • Vesh's two evolutions both list Vesh's Cross as the required item in the current data; if the Guns variant fails, check whether a separate item was added in a later patch.
  • Toeji (Sorcerer Killer) lists a Level 550 requirement in the current data — an outlier worth double-checking in-game before committing.

Anime Final Strike Evolution FAQ

How do you evolve units in Anime Final Strike?

Enter the Evolve area from the lobby's Areas menu with the base unit in your inventory. Each chain needs its key item plus kill and level requirements on that unit; once everything is met, the evolve option activates.

What is the easiest evolution in Anime Final Strike?

Cyborg into Cyborg (Advanced): the Cyborg Core is obtained by talking to Baldy after summoning Cyborg, with no kill or level requirements. Yuneko into Yuneko (Jackpot) is nearly as simple and far more valuable economically.

Where do you get the Dragon Slayer in Anime Final Strike?

Buy it from the Eclipse Raid Shop for 700 Behelit Tokens. Behelit Tokens drop from any act of the Eclipse raid.

Is Tobito (Masked) obtainable right now?

No. Its key item, Tobito's Mask, was sold in the Kurama Raid Shop and is currently listed as unobtainable, so the chain cannot be completed until the item returns.

Do Legend Stage materials have pity?

Yes. Listed examples include the Hollow Mask (50-run pity), Prison Realm Cube (40), Undine Contract (40), Excalibur Hilt (35), Heroes Footprints (35), Haumia's Crown (35), Kamado's Mark (30), Majin's Mark (30), and Tanjiro's Earring (15).

Change Log

  • 2026-08-16: Created the Anime Final Strike evolution page with all 55 chains, per-item sources with drop rates and pity values, six material farming routes, and a cost-ranked first-evolution priority list.
