Guide Details
Overview
Anime Overseer punishes players who spread resources too thin. A single well-built carry will clear more waves than five under-leveled units, and rare evolution materials are scarce enough that one bad decision can set you back days. This guide maps your first week so you build momentum without wasting Gems, Trait Rerolls, or Soul Crystals on units you will replace.
Verified by Ethan Carter on July 14, 2026 at 11:00 UTC: I reviewed six hours of gameplay footage from creators at max level, cross-checked their advice against the current tier-list consensus, and mapped the resulting path to the codes and unit rankings available on July 13, 2026.

Day 1 and First Week Plan
Day 1 — Unlock Everything
- Enter the game. If you do not have paid Early Access, join the AFK Chamber and wait for free entry. Once inside, like and favorite the game and join the v2 studio group so you can redeem codes.
- Redeem every active code. The current active codes grant Gems, Gold, Trait Discs, Soul Crystals, and Trait Rerolls. Claim them in the priority order shown on the codes page.
- Summon your first carry. Use your Gems on the standard banner. Your goal is one fast Mythic: Nayoma or Tengen. If you pull Jogo or Chazo instead, they work as damage dealers but clear stages more slowly early on.
- Roll traits once. Use a few Trait Rerolls from codes on your carry. An Overclocked trait is enough for Nayoma or Tengen; do not chase a perfect trait yet.
- Clear the first story acts. Unlock daily, weekly, and hourly challenges as soon as they appear. These challenges are the main source of Trait Discs and evolution materials outside of codes.
Days 2–3 — Stabilize Your Team
By now you should have a carry and a few Legendary or Epic filler units. Focus on:
- Gear farming: Run Nightmare story stages to find gear with Speed and Lifesteal for Nayoma or Tengen. For Jogo or Chazo, look for damage and burn-related stats.
- Adding support: Pull or build toward Pain for stun or Freezer for debuffs. One support makes harder waves much easier.
- Saving resources: Do not spend Trait Discs, Soul Crystals, or Super Soul Crystals unless you are sure the unit will stay in your team.
Days 4–7 — Plan Your First Evolution
Evolve one unit only when all of these are true:
- The unit carries your team in story stages or raids.
- You have enough Gold to max its base upgrades first.
- You have the full evolution material cost ready.
- The evolved form is confirmed to improve performance, not just change appearance.
Good first evolution targets include Nayoma, Jogo, Pain, or Nazuka. Avoid evolving starter units such as Sonic Ninja or Hawk.
Resource Spending Priority
Spend your early resources in this order:
- Gems → Banner summons until you have a carry. Stop once you have Nayoma, Tengen, Jogo, or Chazo.
- Gold → Base upgrades for your carry and support. A maxed base unit beats a half-built evolved one.
- Trait Rerolls → Your carry only. One good trait on your main damage dealer is worth more than scattered rerolls.
- Soul Crystals and Super Soul Crystals → First evolution. Save these for S-tier or A-tier units.
- Meat and food items → Evolution costs when needed. Do not consume them for small upgrades.
Gear and Challenge Loop
Best Gear Stats by Unit
| Unit Type | Primary Stat | Secondary Stat |
|---|---|---|
| Fast carry (Nayoma, Tengen) | Speed | Lifesteal |
| Burn/DoT DPS (Jogo, Chazo) | Damage | Burn damage or cooldown |
| Raw DPS (Brolu, Friera) | Damage | Crit or attack boost |
| Tank (Michael, Nazuka) | HP | Defense or life regeneration |
| Support (Pain, Freezer) | Range | Stun duration or debuff potency |
Challenge Cadence
- Hourly challenges — Quick completions that reward Trait Discs and small material packs.
- Daily challenges — Medium-length tasks that provide evolution materials and Gold.
- Weekly challenges — Large reward pools including rare evolution items and Trait Rerolls.
Farming evolution materials manually is slow. Doing all three challenge types every day compounds your progress faster than repeating the same story stage.
Beginner Traps and How to Recover
Trap 1 — Rage Summoning
Spending all Gems immediately after a bad pull often leaves you without resources when a targeted banner appears. Recovery: Save at least 1,000 Gems for the next banner and only summon when a unit you need is featured.
Trap 2 — Perfect Trait Chasing
Burning dozens of Trait Rerolls on a starter unit for a marginal gain is a common waste. Recovery: Stop rerolling once the unit has a usable trait such as Overclocked. Save perfect rerolls for S-tier carries.
Trap 3 — Evolving Too Early
Evolving a unit before its base upgrades are maxed wastes materials. Recovery: Finish base upgrades first, then check whether the evolved passive actually improves clear speed before committing.
Trap 4 — Ignoring Support
A team of five damage dealers without stun or debuff support hits a wall around mid-story. Recovery: Build one support unit such as Pain or Freezer before pushing into harder chapters.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get Anime Overseer for free?
Use the AFK Chamber on the Roblox game page. The timer grants free access after a waiting period. Connection stability matters because disconnecting may reset progress.
What is the best starter team?
A practical starter team is Nayoma or Tengen as carry, Pain or Freezer as support, and two Legendary or Epic filler units such as Hawk or Kotaro until you pull more Mythics.
Should I save Gems or spend them immediately?
Spend enough Gems to get one reliable carry, then save for banners that feature units on the tier list. Avoid spending below 1,000 Gems unless a high-value banner is active.
What should I do if my code does not work?
Check that you liked the game, joined the v2 studio group, and entered the code exactly as shown. If it still fails, the code may have expired; check the codes page for the latest list.
